My name is Nir Alfasi (twitter handle: @niralfasi) and I’m a Java server-side developer with passion to challenges, building things, learning technologies and new cool stuff. After completing my BSc in computer science I stayed another couple of years in the university to complete MSc in Mathematics specializing in Graph theory and algorithms. Since 2005 I’m working in the high-tech industry, mostly developing server-side applications using Java and PL\SQL on Linux.

Recently I played (and had fun) with LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP) and a few CMS such as: Joomla, Magento and WordPress. When needed, I can be a “Jack of all trades, master of none” but I rather work with a strong team, preferably gurus that I can learn from.

I like climbing, coding, technology and snowboarding – not necessarily in that order. I’m also an active member in stackoverflow and codeeval.
